IB students and teachers, here is a fun way to listen to one of this years prescribed works “El Salon Mexico” by Aaron Copland. It is an award winning short animation that is set to Copland’s famous piece. It won’t help too much with your analysis but it is fun. Check out their site

I’ve seen it. It’s a delightful film. I’ve shown it to classes. The contrasts afford a great deal of class discussion and the story helps fix the music better in mind.
Where did you see this movie?
I first found it online as a youtube and then saw it advertised and picked up a copy a couple of years ago from the authors. Although there is no useful analysis it does give another perspective of the music and makes it fun to listen.
