Sound Junction

1 03 2009

I just posted a “WebQuest” (web based lesson plan, if you don’t know what they are, look for it in my blog).  WebQuests are such a great idea (post them online and share your ideas), I thought I would share another great web based site for music education that I found to be a great classroom resource.

The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music has a wonderful music education site called “Sound Journey”.  If you haven’t found it yet, check it out at: http://www.soundjunction.org/default.aspa  It is a web based learning center that incomporates research, interation, and exploration into some fantastic music experiences for students.  Explorers of music can chose between “Journey Mode” or “Browse Mode”.  There are listening examples, picture examples, great info for research, world musics, and composing software for creating.  Everything needed for a great musical education experience.  Log on now and try your own musical journey!
